Go to www.uplandbirddog.com and ask this same question with MORE details on your training with this young dog and you will get the help you need. My advice it to BE PATIENT with this dog and quit any training sessions if YOU cannot compose yourself while training. Dogs are more sensitive than you think and will go to great lenths to avoid that bad experience again...

I'm in NE PA while I'm not a pro I have trained mnay dogs over the yrs.It would be hard to give advice without actually seeing the dog in action. If you'd like to contact me I'd be happy to look over whats going on with your dog. Also check your local Library.Get the book "The Complete Guide to training your Birddog" by John R Falk. This is a very good book and Discusses both of these problems and how to correct them.Take care Jackson..
