Default Sad day

How is everyone doing today is a sad day my 6 and a half year old brittany was limping this year when i took him out training so we went to the vet for x rays and it turns out that he has arthritis and a few bone spurs on his front left elbow the vet says that i shouldnt take him hunting that much because while he is hunting he forgets about the pain but when we are done it hurts him alot i am taking him to a specalist to get his opionin but i love the dog and if they say he is done then he will be just a spoiled house dog.
Thanks for listening.

Have you had your dog on Glucosamine as he was growing up? Or do you have your dog on Glucosamine now?

How long have you been giving it? What is the mg of Glucosamine -- anything else in it (chondroitin? -- MSM ? it C? Proanthocyanidins? Bromelain? anything?) Is it a hard tablet or a powser inside a "pull apart" gelatin capsule?

What did your Vet advise you to do?

I am sorry to hear about your dog/family member. I know that must be hard. But at least you can love on him all you want until his time is over, and it isn't anything really fatal. I hope things go well. Bless you and your dog.

Did your vet talk to you about Rimadyl? My 8yr old shorthair has the A word and Rimadyl make her hunting possible. I have shortened her time in field so she doesn't over do. And she can walk the next day because of rimadyl. I don't want her to be a house pet, it would kill her. So I will pay the cost, it is worth every penny to see her do what she loves.
