Sign me up. I've got two old blueticks that are fair coon dogs. Also have one black & tan that I use for running deer (its legal and popular where I hunt). Dont have any rabbit dogs but we want our next dog to be a bassett. Dont laugh, they can burn a bunnies butt if trained right and come from good bloodlines.

Big Al, I did laugh, only because I pictured that low to the ground fellow in hot pursuit. I used to live near the Delaware river and saw a one fellow over and over hunting ducks with a standard poodle as a retriever. He had a chevette or some other small car with the poodle in full white fluff filling up the back while he was driving in full camo. While I laughed, he hunted alot because I hunted alot and saw him (in his car) quite a bit. So while it probably looked funny the results were probably pretty good and that's all that mattters. Also watched a beagle used for foxes put my foxhounds in their place one day at the training pen. Man could that little beagle hold track!! Enjoy, Juniorpc.

YEAH!!!!! Gotta love the overlooked Dachshund! Easy to overlook them because they're the original low-rider! got one myself and my uncle has used his dachsie for grouse hunting ever since I could remember him having dogs. Don't laugh at the mighty dachshund my friend... they may just take off your foot at the ankle! They have the nose of a Bloodhound and the spirit of a Great Dane. Ah yes, the Dachshund... behind a fence, there are none braver!
