That must have been rough buckslayer.

Jim-Fronline and Frontline arn't the same thing. Fronline is a knock-off of K9 Advantix (sp?) just so you know.

Right. Frontline is a collar and kills fleas and ticks.

Fronline is a knock off of Advantix and is supposed to kill fleas, ticks, and mosquitos. K-9 Advantix was more $ to do the same thing.

I sure hope Jake is allright. I bet it livend him up to bust those birds.

I used Frontline on my boy and it was a liquid that you apply between the dawgs shoulderblades. I never heard of Fronline? Do you buy it from a vet? Just Curious.....we have alot of ticks here in NJ.

No. It's a knock off. Worked OK, but I believe I'll use the K-9 Advantix from now on out. Knock offs seem to cause dry skin on my dogs.

I use the Frontline collar and K-9 Advantix drops and don't seem to have any problems.

I used to use Frontline too, but I have switched to K9 Advatix. Seems to work well. My vet sells both but he highly reccommends the K9 Advantix. I trust my vet and his reccommendation is good enough for me. Hope you get your problem cleared up and your buddy gets to feeling better real soon.

Frontline also makes a spray, which works great on fleas and ticks. If you find your dog covered in ticks, use this stuff and the next day they will all be shriveled up dead. it works great to keep them off of the dog as well. im a vet and this stuff works.

Guys and Gals!

I work in the industry is the first thing I'll say. Make consuner products.

Second I lost a dog to Lymes quite some time back.

What do I do now?

When out in the field my pooches are placed ont he tail gate and given a head to toe examination. Place to look for ticks is behind the ears, near the eyes, along the back, up around the collar, and in the pocket of the front legs.

A fine toothed flea comb helps greatly if the dog does not have a long coat. A long coated dog will need a stiffer longer toothed comb.

The next day dogs are checked befroe released. By checking it is by feel and not by sight! My dogs have dark coats :(

Second no matter if I find a tick or not I treat with a Pyrethrum alcohol pump sprayer and really wet the coat of the dog after a rmp or hunt int he field.

The alcohol will dry quickly. Pyrethrum is a natural not synthetic contact insecticide that KILLS ON CONTACT. I do not care for an insecticide that really makes my dog's skin toxic! That is what Frontline does. It becomes a systemic. That means it travels through the upper epidermal layer of the skin.

There are countires that are reveiwing the insecticide that is in Frontline. There has been a few reported cases of toxiological effects to both amn and animals.

My choice of spray is Pre-Cor and can be bought form any vet supply house. Has anywhere between 0.5 to 1.00 % Pyrethrum and a 1.00% synergist - usually PBO.

CAN'T SAY THIS ENOUGH
WHAT EVER YOU USE!!!!
FOLLOW LABEL DIRECTIONS EXPLICITLY!
