dogs and hardwood floors
I have a 1 1/2 old lab that has issues when sitting on my hardwood floor. His back legs seem to slide out to the side of him when he sits.
But on the carpet or outside he is fine.
Both parents have excellent hips, and normal elbows, the breeder is well known for breeding top end FC dogs.
My one friend runs field trials and says he would be more concerned if the dog sat on his hip, rather than his legs sliding out to the side of him.
Am i being over concerned or are my worries justified?

I don't think that I would be worried either --- BUT, at 1.5 years, you can only get a preliminary rating. The actual xrays and ratings can't be done until the dog is 24 (or more) months of age.
