I don't know if my dog has a sport other than hunting. Outside she ignores dog play, tennis balls, etc. and stands waiting for me so she can go and 'hunt'. One thing she likes is, on windy days, I'll throw leaves in the air and she'll chase.
Indoors, she likes to hunt bugs. She'll stare at them until they move then she'll pounce.

I have to agree with Mite, other than retrieving and training, my dog just sits by and waits to go hunting. She will whine and wimper whien she sees me putting my camo on and loading the waders. She goes bezerk until she gets in the truck kennel!

My 3yr old female Beagle/Shepherd mix name Amber (photo below), loves to play "soccer goalie" with me. I have one of those black & white squeak balls and kick it with my foot at her. She catches it in her mouth almost every time!

Anyway, she is a great, universal hunting dog, and loves going after squirrels and rabbits. Since she's got the Beagle in her, she keeps her nose to the ground and keeps sniffing everything she can sniff. She's not afraid to go into the heavy brush and briars either.
What's hilarious is when she sees me get my camo on and have my Remington 870 in its case, loading up the truck. She goes absolutely nuts! I say to her, "You wanna go for a ride?" ...and she almost busts down the door to get outside!
Once I open up the door, she bolts outside and goes right to my truck, right to the passengers door and waits for me! She doesn't ride in a kennel in the back. She sits in the passengers seat (or lays down once she calms down) and enjoys the ride.
