RE: ***URGENT VIRGINIA HUNTING DOG OWNERS***

I said I was done with this for a while, so a while turned out to be 2 hrs!!:Danyway, Hokie please tell me why it's the landowners job to keep people and dogs off their property? Can't a man own property and expect it to be private?? Who's job is to not brake the law? Answer: the dog owners. You keep putting the accountablity on the shoulders of land owners and game wardens, but the dog owners are the ones braking the law!! The dog owners need to hold each other accountable, it's their actions, and no one else's that is causing the stink.

HuntingEd Do you hunt VA? or just MD.
I hunt both, and own property in VA.
I hunt MD and VA HM, do you want to know what problems they have with hounds running deer in MD?

Derrick

Just catching up on this thread and no sarcasm intended. I do hunt in MD, probably 15+ days a year. What do you want to know about hunting in MD?

How about this guy at VDGIF? Here's what he'll tell you when you ask for help.

No Sir.I'm sure they are running deer. They tell us they are fox dogs, or they got out of the pen, or any number of other things. I don't have any thing I can tell you that will help without a change in the seasons or laws.

Thanks, Sgt. Everidge
Game Warden Supervisor

Derrick typical response from you on this. Fortunately most of us know better. Technical Report identifies it as a problem too. Keep saying VDGIF isn't doing their job.
Remember, be careful what you wish for.

Rick you may want to remember that qoute. As I recall you don't own the land were this was happening and don't have a leg to stand on, only the landowner can file a complaint. You can just report the offense and advise the landowner but you have no control in it unless you was the landowner. One more question did you call yourself or send an email? get real.
