I've heard of people shooting a cap gun before they feed there pup, then the dog realizes that loud noises mean good things are comming. Give that a try and see if it helps.

yes, any loud noise when you are feeding enforces the positive response...I highly recommend this...all my pup's start out like this from the very first feeding

I would stay away from this one, with a timmid dog I believe this
will cause more harm then good.
