Default FRONT LINE SAFE?

my girlfriend believes front line can make your animal sick and has killed cats that have used it. my beagle has been using it for a couple years and i see no ill efects but we only use it in the bad flea months in my area from august to november. its time again and she-s gonna fight me on it. ive tried the oiver the counter hartz stuff and it wasnt near as good as front line. help me to change her mind.

If she will take a vets word for it, then tell her I said it is very safe. They even make it for cats, so im not sure where she got that. we have sold it and used on a BUNCH of dogs and cats and never had a problem.

My wife and I breed dogs (we have 9) and have been using Frontline about as long as it's been out. Never had a problem with ours and never heard of a problem from any of our breeder friends. We recommend it to all our puppy buyers.

o.k. now my girlfriend says are beagle gets tired and a little wierd after applying it. i dont see it. the whole cat thing comes from my sister in law who had a cat die the day after applying front line. co-incidence or not my sister in law refuses to use front line. i guess im not gonna win this one. my poor beagle will scratch this year

Frontline is the only thing that I've found to keep the ticks off my beagles. The ticks are thick this year... but not on the frontline protected dog. I have not seen any ill effects at all. Except the price I have to pay for the stuff.

I think you have to make sure you don't use "dog" frontline on cats....I actually use K9 Advantix on my Springer and it works great. Unlike Frontline it also works againstmosquitos as well as fleas and ticks.

Did your girlfriend noticed the strange behavior every month or just once? I took my puppy recently to get her vacinated against rabies and I ask them toput Frontline on her. She has had boosters every month so far and Frontline applied. Rabies will have to be doneyearly. Well, she was somewhat lethargic but that was because of the vacination not Frontline. As for the cat, perhaps your sis-in-law brought it at the vet and the cat vacinated at the same time. Save a trip there. Or it could have been misapplied, too many doses, wrong dosage, etc. or it simply could have been allergic.

I'm using Biospot on my lab. I haven't noticed any strange behavior in her. I haven't found any fleas or ticks and the skeeters don't seem to bother her at all. I've only found 1 tick on her and I think that was a hitch hiker off of me from a trip into the boonies, and I was overdue treating the dog.
