Default My favorite hunting partner is in bad shape

My walker Hammer got in a fight with a coon and he had an infection underhis jaw thatwe have bene giving him shotsfor well. .. the shots arent helping and the infection has spread and his faceis swollen up and he can barely see out of his one eye .. Im stomped on what elseIcan do the vet said thats the only thing that they have to help fight the infection and it seems it is making it worse.I hope he pulls through this and heals back up... I jus pray that there will notbe a bad ending to mine and Hammers relationship .. I love the dog to death and I dont want him to go

thats to bad, I hope everything works out.
is there another vet in the area so you can get a second opinion?
They should have more than one anti-biotic, shouldn't they?

Did your vet just give you the antibiotic or did he give you anything else. Depending on what kind of infection and the severity of it, out vet also gives cortisone or something else to help with the swelling, fever, itching, infection. Hope he gets better soon.
