Hello.
I'm new to the Sarasota area and would appreciate any info and advice on what sort of hunting opportunities might be available to me in the region (as a nonresident) this fall.
Thanks fellow sportsmen.

wyobill, you've got a ton of options. I'd suggest two things to start. First, attend the Sarasota Sportsmen's Association Banquet at Robarts Arena on Oct. 3rd. It starts at 5:30pm I think. You'll meet everybody who hunts and fishes in Sarasota...and they'll be doing raffles for guided hunts, etc. Second, get in touch with Matt Scarbrough who is the only real hunting guide in the area that I'm aware of...he's in the book.
Oh yeah, as far as hunting opps...plenty of hogs...deer, Osceola Tukey. Dove, Duck...and some quail (but not much). Your easiest bet since your new to the area would be to find somebody at the Sportsmens meeting and see if you can hop on a lease this late in the year...probably be tough though.
