I have wanted to try it. I never seem to have the time. I have went to a National forest around Hillsville VA. I can't remember the name though. I didn't have any luck. I only went one day plus I didn't have any maps or anything. I wasnt too crowded. Most everyone had a small camper set up to stay a week or so.

I live a few miles from Pisgah National Forest and hunt coyote from Feb thru Mar.Some days they are around and some days there are none. The area below Mt.Pisgah to the North of hghy 276 is a bear santuary, between the bear and the coyote ,they are killing and running off all the deer, but the south side of 276 their are deer and a few coyote. The only problem is that during non big game season you can only use a 22.cal.
