i live in the asheville area plenty of good public land around try the gamelands book from the nc game commission one trick to hunting public land is dont be afraid of walking most of the hunters stay within a mile of the road if you go farther they just run the game to you good luck if you need any more info just email at [email protected]

The hunting, fishing, gamelands, and big game for a resident is only $40 annually. Ask for the sportsman license. Big game tags included are 4 bucks 2 doe, 2 boar, turkey, and 1 bear.
