so let me first say that I'm an aspiring hunter.
before a get down to some of my questions let me give you a little back ground about myself.
I grow up kinda rural, meaning my mother is a country girl and father a city boy. so I grew up riding horses raising livestock for 4H.
I joined the marine corps in 2011 to 2015,
I'm a pretty good shot and comfortable and consistent at 500 yards.
ok now down to the meat of my thread here.
are there any clubs that you hunters would recommend in the area?
id like to hunt deer this year if possible, but I realize its probably a little too late.
and are there any hunters in the area willing to kinda mentor me and show me the ropes.
it would be really awesome to tag a long on a hunt if I could and see the process and get that experience.
for starters id like to hunt deer and hog (I like bacon) and eventually as I get more experience do elk moose ETC.
ive been doing a lot of reading and studying, but nothing replaces getting out and actually doing.
my goal with this is not to trophy hunt, ultimately id like to eventually get all my meat this way hunting all kinds of game.
(and any excuse to buy more guns to hunt that game lol)
I'm very coachable willing to learn and do the work.
any help assistance or advice I could get would be greatly appreciated.
thanks so much for you time.
my name is Alex BTW.
