Default Hunting in Montgomery County National Forest

Hey guys!

I'll be hunting around Montgomery county this year as I will be a sophomore at Virginia Tech studying Biology and Religion..Go Hokies! I didn't get to hunt at all my freshman year as I couldn't store my hunting gear in my dorm, but have moved off campus now, so that problem is solved.

I was wondering if there are any guys in the area on this forum who could guide me and give me some tips on hunting the area and the national forest. I'll primarily be hunting with crossbow and hunting for meat, though I'd love to get a nice buck.

If anyone in the area has any advice, looking for a hunting partner, or willing to take someone under their wing, let me know!

How many of you guys are starting to get that antsy feeling where you cant wait to get in the woods?!? I know I am!
