Apparently yes because they get a lot of the hunters vote. So my theory either holds water or hunters are more stupid than many people think. Why because they keep voting for a party that screws them over in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

I don't know of anyone, except a couple people on this forum, that think a US Senator will have anything to do with the state issue of Sunday hunting. I will not vote for Kaine because he is a liberal whose ideas and voting record do not match my views. I want Sunday hunting but not at the expense of the futures of my kids and grand kids.

So Brewman and VAhunter, Have either of you let your legislators know that you are disappointed in the Virginia State House Republican Leadership actively fighting to restrict hunter's access to the woods? Again, I'm talking local politics. I've never said this has anything to do with Federal elections.

Yes, I have. The House republicans pretty much have me ticked off. My local congressman is against hunting on Sunday. Sad thing is the idiots the democrats have put up against him in the past are worthless. However, my state Senator, Bill Stanley (a Republican) supported Sunday Hunting last year. Our previous state Senator, a Democrat, was against hunting on Sunday.

I don't have a problem with democrats at the local/state levels and would support one if their views and voting records matched my beliefs.

I wrote lots of letters and made lots of phone calls last year to everyone that had any input on passing Sunday Hunting...I called and wrote all my local representatives......like I said I want SH as bad as anyone that hunts.....
