Default Hunting Pigs at Night

I've heard you need to use a red lense light to hunt pigs at night.
Why not just the regular lense? My QBeam with no lense seems to work just fine.
What's the advantage?

Hunt4Fun1..I've used a red lens and plain light both. In the area I hunt (East Texas) they get spooked by the plain light. The red lens spooks them too but not near as bad. But they do get a lot of hunting pressure in this area. And I hunt with bow so I need them to stand still as long as possible.
