I have only gone once, what a great time, and delicious eats! Are you stalking or sitting? If you are stalking, the only advise I will give you is BE READY Those hogs dont always run from you, sometimes theyll run at you. When that happens and you are in waist deep grass, its quite a rush.

I have killed dozens of pigs and the best advice I can give you is to throw away any mechanical head you may be thinking of useing and get a good quality broadhead like muzzy or wasp.

There are a lot of places to hunt pigs down here on public land.
The best shot to take would be the 1/4ering away shot as boars have a gristle plate covering the shoulders.
The sows make for the best eating. I dont shoot anything bigger than 150 pounds.
What part of Texas you coming too I might be able to take out.
