Osceola birds are pretty tough to hunt....if you dont have the patience..
In my experience...the birds will gobble on the roost....but shortly after
they hit the ground they shut up....sometimes they gobble a little longer...
but not often....I use multiple calls and dont call too often...call just loud enough
so they can hear you....and if he wont come in....dont call for a while....
and be patient....I prefer the primos crystal slate call, the sonic dome mouth call
and the box cutter...I like to set up on the west side of where they roost..
in open country I found they will not fly down into the sunrise...
I found 3 birds this past weekend....and they were all on the west side of
their roost...
