Default Is it worth an all-day sit this time of year in VA??

Contemplating an all day sit on Friday, December 3, in Northern Virginia.

You guys seeing any mid day activity? Is the rut pretty much over? Any theories on the "second rut?"

Trying to decide whether I will pack up and leave at 11 am if I don't get anything in the morning, or whether to sit all day.

On our lease in Orange, we are seeing deer move all day long. 12pm, 1pm, the deer move throughout the day. We just have to be in the right spot at the right time. Good luck.

Thanks for the input! All day it is.

Think estrous scent will work? Any does still hot?

I hunted hard in the early season but haven't been able to get out for the last few weeks due to the birth of my first child.

Maybe it's cold enough up there by now to have em' moving during the day but down here in Tennessee it's been so warm that they don't move till dark.

I have seen most of the buck bedded down with does Maybe get up move a few yards and back down. Rain is going to be moving in Tuesday afternoon thur Wednesday. I watch two buck this morning walk off into the woods with a doe and they stay in the 1 acre area I left around 3pm

( could not go after them Cut the top of my wrist quartering out a deer on Saturday and got 8 stitches in right now but they aint going anywhere.)

It does look like the latter does are coming into heat. A little doe in heat lightly drag around might get a buck up and looking. This time of year I like the evening more get in the woods around 1pm and sit till dark. Good luck
