Nice deer.
I hunted Chickahominy WMA and had a doe at 15 yds but she was already spooked and didn't stand still for me. I went out in the woods near my house yesterday and had 3 does at 30 yds but no shot either. Soon though, I hope.

Nice! Especially for Phelps on opening day! I was out there 4 days this week and skunked every day. Saw very few deer for some reason. Everyone I've spoken to out there has had hard hunting this year too for some reason.
What part of Phelps were you hunting when you got your 6?

I was hunting behind the managers res parking area quite a ways back in and by the river. I also picked up a doe Wednesday evening....so 2 hunts....2 deer seen...2 deer killed. My numbers of deer seen are down, but I'm liking the quality shots I've been getting.
