Yesterday me & two buddies hunted the opening day of archery in Sarasota. While skinning a hog, two FWC officers walked into our camp & checked us out. All our licenses were good, but the older officer asked if we had our new deer tag. We said "no, we're hog hunting & we have our gold license anyway so we don't need it." He said "OH YES YOU DO!!!" He advised us to call the 800 number on the back of our license & add the 5 dollar permit before he sees us again. Well, we called the number at lunch time to add the deer permit to our license & the State people told us THEY CANNOT add the deer permit to a gold license because it's ALREADY COVERED !!! FWC officers need better training if they are going to enforce all these new laws. It's hard enough already for us hunters to decipher all these rules & regulations, now it's getting so complex that FWC officers don't even know the law. Hope they get this stuff figured out before gun season.

Oh ok, scared me there for a minute...I believe you could be right though...they have to get the money somewhere.
