Howdy!
Just found this site and thought I'd chime in.
Hunted 15 miles outside Goldthwaite for 4 years before getting priced off the lease. DEER EVERYWHERE. Land owner got greedy so we left.
Friend's sister has 44 acres in Kerrville we hunted this year. Little bitty deer there. So, tacked an Axis with my TC .308. First time I'd eaten Axis... won't be the last.
Looking HARD for a lease for my brother and I for 2010. If anyone has a line on an annual lease, we have our own feeders, stands, etc. Ethical and will be there for work parties.
Living in Houston but will travel 3-4 hours for some meat in the freezer.
