I wanting to go on a do it yourself trout fishing trip on the white river. Idon't care about catching alot of big trout just want to catch eaters. I have my own boat and would be bringing my 10 yr old daughter. Any info would be much apppreciated.

What do you need to know? You will want to fish the White below Bull Shoals Dam. Stay in the Mountain Home area. I am not living there now, but I can put you in touch with someone who can fill you in on generating pattern. Fly, lure orbait? I used to fish it regularly, but mostly wade and fly fishing. If you can catch high water and a shad kill, you will catch some dandy browns by drifting1/8 oz. white jigs.
