I went out this morning and grunted/rattled this basket rack 7 pointer in at 7:50am. He was came running into me and I shot him about 50-60 yards away with a 870 slug gun. He almost ran right over a buddy of mine about 150 yards away to get to me. Second day in a row in the same general area we have grunted bucks in, the other was a tall 6 pointer that my budday hit but we cant find yet.

Went this morning and saw 1 buck running 100 mph across a field. Made it into the woods and walked up on a doe and while I was at a stand off with her some movement caught my attention and it was a buck with his nose to the ground running in circles. Couldn't get a shot tho. But the rut is on full swing in Sussex co.

Well I shot a nice 8 pointer this mornig at about 7:00. I was watching a bunch of does feed all around me when I heard somthing tearing through the woods behind me. When I turned around I saw a nice buck chasing a doe. He came around to my left and I stopped himby making a grunt sound with my mouth. He gave me a perfect broadside shot and I dropped him in his tracks with a 60 yard blast from my .243. I'll get some pictures up tomorrow when I get back to work.

Nice! Anyone see any more action in the Nova area - Fairfax, Loudoun? Let's get some chatter going about how everyone feels going into the weekend? I work in DC so I don't get so obviously I don'tsee any deer roaming around during the day/night.

Weather continues to be in our favor, however, it looks like we could be dealing with a little wind on Saturday in these parts.
