Where I live it has been raining now for the last 23 hours. I look for the burn ban to be lifted and any rumors that go with it.

I think they are call for rain/showers for the next 2 days and cooler temps.

Seems like you start hearing those rumors every year. I think it would be a major issue come election time if it was cancelled. Also, it would have a large impact on local economies. Remember PETA has their headquarters in Virginia, they would be the first to start a rumor like that.

But hey, maybe since the deer herd would not be thinned out, they would open Sunday's for hunting to allow the day's missed.

To date we've got nearly 3.0 inches of rain, forcast another 1.0 through Saturday night, bummer in many ways but great for the remaining season with that possibilty of shutting down things. I just feel for the folks in Cali, who's not fortunate to get rain.

The VDIFG posted on their web site yesterday that hunting season would go on as usual but the burning ban is still on!
