I don't know where Beathny is, but when I went down to Louisa LA (South of New Iberia) I have seen several in the roadway and they tell me there is a crossing there. This is the firest black bears I have seen in LA and I have been hunting here for 25 years. They have a few black bears left in the Atchafalaya spillway. They are endangered, collared, and tracked.
