I just finished hunting my first day on the Quantico Marine base and although I didn't get a deer, I did see lots of sign and met a couple of nice hunters .... BUT in the parking area for the section I hunted were the heads, hides, and a plastic bag with the legs, ect. of two does. I've seen this same sort of thing out at C.F. Phelps WMA and it is sickening. I wish I knew who did it, I would happily turn them in and testify against them! Even if they were harvested by legit hunters all deer harvested in VA must be checked in.

I have never seen that on Quantico, not to say it does not happen, did it appear that they were taken with a gun or bow? What area are you hunting there? I like 7A and I think it is 9C around the old clear cut. ~Ben

That is strange with all the regulation Quantico puts forth, and besides according to the date of your post Does aren't taken on that date. Saturday was Doe day and yes it is sicking. I hunted 6a didn't see anything myself.

7a is a good location, know a few who hunt the area. Last week 9c produced a nice 8 pointer to a gentleman I met the checkout station while I was waiting for the 1230 assigment pull. He got the deer at 706 am that thursday morning.

They were left at the parking area at the R7 sign where 9B & 9C border each other. I wasn't readily apparent how they were killed. I saw some rubs and a scrape in 9B. I have tomorrow off so I may try 9B again.
