I have been hunting most every weekend since bow season opened. Every time I have gone out this last month has been ruined by the wind. I have seen very few deer and no big bucks. My question is has any one in the North West Texas (Kent county, Post, Jayton, Aspermont area.) noticed what the bucks are doing. Last weekend I saw a small buck caseing a doe. Has the rut started going good yet.
I plan on going out rattleing this weekend. Has anyone else started calling the big bucks, and have you had any luck. I dont think the wind is going to blow very much this weekend, maybe the deer will be moving.

Hey Burnie!
Go to the Texas Parks and Wildlife web page and look in the hunting part and you'll find a guide to "believed" rut dates for most any given area.
Good luck!
Hurry up and wait.
