Wher are you located at Rick?
Saw a few big does over the weekend but nothing behind them. The bucks are still staying in the timber. Watching a creek bottom by house and feel with the guns start they will be running there.
Report card to date
1 seven point shot opening morning muzzle loader
1 doe shot last day muzzle loader (was watching a NICE 10 point and my son pointed out the doe. When we were dragging her out a 8-point walked right up to us with 15 yards and just turned and walked away. Really cool.)
missed 1 doe and 1 buck with the bow so far
found a really nice site for over head maps
here it is

this is my house and the woods I hunt behind it

Greg I think the rut is winding down. I have watched small bucks walk past does and not pay any attention to them. Bucks are on the wheat in the evening with the does and not even trying to sneak a nose full. I haven't scored yet but have seen a lot of deer every time I get into the woods. Let a 7 pt walk tonight. And two 8 pt yesterday. I might have my sights set too high but I'm going to wait for a big one.
