If anyone knows of any clubs ,that are north of Richmond VA, looking for members. I would appreciate any info.

I see a few adds in the Valley Trader for hunt clubs now& then but thats all i know on hunt clubs,,,if your lookin for places to hunt check out Quantico marine corps base and G.R.Thompson wma ,,,i had good luck at both places this past season and i saw some massive bucks come off of both places

I hunt Thompson some for grouse. Fished alot at Quantico, but have never hunted it. Have you tried Phelps WMA, I think it holds more deer than Thompson.

im gonna be honest,,,i went to Phelps 15 yrs ago,,it was about 3 days after a snow storm and just walked,,,i musta walked 5 miles that day and never cut a track or even saw another hunter and since then i have not been back there,,i started hunting a spot in GWNF in front royal the next year and i have been hunting up that way ever since(i know a spot where not too many other guys hunt) I have land in Pa. that i hunt every year for a week and i have just not been outgoing enough to ask permission to hunt private property here,,so,,,i have taken full advantage of the public land va has to offer,,i have some good luck but nothing big,,7pts,,5 pts,,what most would call scrub bucks,,but it's all good to me. Thompson has really paid off for me every year until rifle season hits,,then wow!!,,the Deer get nocturnal and it's hard to get a shot at one before right at dark,,maybe this year we could hook-up and get a couple hunts in if you want,,i have put alot of time in the areas i hunt and can usually always get a shot off if i want (does or small buck) It would be nice to have someone to hunt with
