Camo
CamoPM rebel hog Camo. He shot a 10 point out of there. I also pulled a tag for Citrus and gave it away. I understand it's high and dry , sandy and piney. I checked it out on the satellite. Real close to Brooksville.

Cop, go North on 581 to 480. West on 480 to entrance Rd #13 North. I hunted between Rd #15 on the West to Rd #9 on the East and between Rd #20 on the North and Rd #22 on the South. That area is called Tillis Hill.

No swamps around Tillis Hill. Scrub oaks, live oaks and palmettos. Where I shot mineis the quail area. .30-06 should do it! If you go farther up north on 581 you will come to the main entrance and public camp grounds and check station. You can either drive thru the roads on the hunting area or go back out to the mainhighways, 480 or 581. I have a 24ft travel trailer and camped at the FL. Forestry camp grounds which has water hook-ups. Up there you have the posphate pits full of water and different terrain. They use to charge $8 a day at theFL.Forestry camp. I liked it cause it was'nt abig camp ground, the keeper lives on it and the traffic gates closed at dark and you were given a key to the locks so you couldgo to the store or gas-up! The town next to it is LeCanto,FL....Pass the main entrance while driving on 581 to HWY 50 and you're in LeCanto!
I have been to Citrus many, many times!

i'm probally going to go to the area you advised and just walk in blind and find a tree in the dark saturday morning. around dinner time i'll get down and do some serious scouting in an attempt to find a better spot. i just hate going in blind because i don't want to mess up any other hunters that might be in that area.

i heard citrus is improving. from what i was told from others...it was almost a waste of time hunting a few years back.

I shot mine in 1993! Many deer were shot in Archery, Muzzle and General Gun. If it has changed, I don't know!
Last time I was there was 1993.
