Default NE TN Hunting

Hey Northeat TN hunters! How is the hunting now. I lived in Johnson City and Greeneville for 14 years and hunted the last 4. Hunting was not great at that time, is it any better in that area now? I am looking to eventually move back, but the hunting in PA is awefully good, even though all these PA hunters whine about how bad it is!

I was just reading an article on E Tn. They say that the WMA hunts are comming back this year and they have a very good whitetail population growing again.

I know back in the early 80's late 70's east Tn was on the map with huge whitetail

I spent the last 5 days in Carter County hunting on the Cherokee WMA. We have 40 acres that buts against it as well. The full moon didnt help, and we didnt see anything during shooting light. We did see a ton of tree markers though. Seems like some people out that way have no sense of direction. This was between Moody Rd and Smith Hollow Rd @ Little Milligan.

TNhoundsman, are there hogs to hunt out there? Im from Middle TN, but we have a weekend house out there.
