scope for new .22

i just got a remington 597 .22. what is the biggest mm size scope i should put on it? i am guessing a 32mm is probably standard?

It looks like no one wants to give you any advice. Well, I have a Bushnell 4 x on my Marlin model 81TS 22. I have hunted with it for several years now and not one problem. It has been out in the rain and hot weather also. It is very affordable. You can buy a more expensive scope but I just wanted you to know about the Bushnell. It works.

thanks for the advice hornet. been waitin for awhile on a response! guess me and you are the only ones who shoot .22s (or at least with a scope anyways)
