Lets say I set my trap up, and I catch a coon, a fox, a polar bear, yeti, whatever. Now what? Do I shoot him, knock him in the head, or just let him stay there until he dies or what? [&:]

Shoot it in the ear. I will die immediatly and The skin will have no hold from the bullet, just the ear hole. Use a small caliber for it. .22 pistols work well.

Shoot it in the ear with a .22. If you get a skunk make a dispatch pole. Put a shot in the end of it and put a smaller PVC pipe in a bigger PVC pipe. Rig a shot so it won't fall out when you push down the PVC poles. Fill the shot with 10cc's of acetone. Put the needle in the skunks lungs. If you do it slowly the skunk will die without spraying. PM me for more details.

Ok. I didnt plan on letting him slowly die. I really dont plan on trapping in the near future, it was just something that Ive always wondered what people did.
