i read in a book that u can take 2 quarters and rub them and bang them together and make a pretty decent squirrel call. I tried and killed 5 squirrels that day so it worked for me!!!

What sort of sound are you making?
I have managed to interest a squirrel or 2 by using a "pisher", a little wooden device you dope with rosin and then twist the 2 parts together to make a light squeak.
Was designed to bring birds in close for bird watchers.
