Default Using Rabbit Squealer

I just bought a Remington Flextone Rabbit Squealer - To use it properly, should I vary the tones and lengths, or just blow throught the tube in long, monotonous bawls??

Keep in mind that you are imitating a relatively small animal in distress. Dont make very long bursts on the call at volume levels that would wake the dead. Your lungs are 10s of times larger than even a jackrabbit. The length of each call should be short to imitate the amount of air the distressed animal would be disbursing. Instead of a wwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, make it a wwaaaa.

I say grab a wonded rabbet and see. It will hurt your ears when he squalls. If you use the same sound every time you will miss out on many animals that could have been called in.

I plow soft for 2 rounds then I plow hard as I can for 3 then go to mid range than soft to finish. The farther you are heard the farther they will come from.

I live in helena MT so lot of open tairitory. If i lived in NY or some place with tighter calling spaces I may go quiet all the time.
