If you are using beagles, make sure they are wearing their orange kevlar vests.

I have one on my wall! He was riding on the back of a Barn owl when I first saw him. When they swooped down to get a closer look at me I was able to pick him off the back of the owl without injuring the bird! KIDS DON'T TRY THIS SHOT AT HOME ...I AM A PROFESSIONAL!.... Good luck and happy hunting!

Still a month away from opening day down here. The rut doesn't start till mid-December. But I am seeing a few rubs and a few scrapes.

No one believes me when I tell them they exist! I've been hunting a really smart one for about five years now and he manages to escape each time I get close. Their meat is the best I've ever tasted - tastes like a cross between rabbit/deer/squirrel/goose. Good luck hunting! And if using dogs - make sure they are very careful not to get hurt, jackalope can be very dangerous - I've got scars to prove it.
