Ok, whoops, my other post says you'll need 500 ft.lbs. to kill a yote. That should be at least 50, not at least 500, sorry, just over looked it while typing.

Why don't you find some super-light .30 cal bullets and handload some in your .30-30?? It would do REALLY well, since they'd be moving so fast they'd be really accurate (minus winddrift). Even a 30 grn bullet will kill a yote, it's just that a .22lr can't hit them hard enough with it, or accurately enough to get a clean kill. If you could find some 55 grain hollow points in .30 cal (I've only seen them once, loaded for .30-06. They'd leave a .30-06 at well over 4000 fps, and that's on a light powder charge too. You could get awesome velocities out of your .30-30 with something that light, and therefore your energy would be huge at 100 yrds, and they'd hit where you want them too. Whatever you do, good luck, especially if you try to use your LR.
