p-dogs and g-hogs??

p-dogs and g-hogs??
What's the difference, I think I've called them both by either name at one time or another, or heard them called either name a time or two. I know that I hunt p-dogs, but how are g-hogs different? I know they aren't the same animal, but do they look that similar that they would get confused that easily??

and where to woodchucks and rockchucks fit in?? How different do they look? I believe I've shot either at one time or another, at least that's what my old man told me he thought they were, I just figured they were dead rodents.
