Has anybody heard any good things about the Remington model 504 in .22Lr? I have a .17 HRM marlin and that thing is about worthless so I sold it yesterday. I'm also thinking about getting an Anschutz sporter with the 54 action in .22lr.
Just don't want to have to convince the wife to let me spend that kind of money.

All i've heard is that Remingtons are scrap metal and not worth the money. You can get the occasional great one though. I know a site where they stick a bore camera in a remington 700 and its a terrible looking bore. Then again thats a completely different model.

Try CZ, they make great guns apart from the sticky action that needs some wear to make it smooth, other than that they are very accurate

I have a 700 BDL in .308 and 22-250. The .308 shoots like a champ. It's grouping 3/8 inche groups (from center of holes) at 100yrds and not much more at 200 yrds. The 22-250 needs a bunch of work though. Going to pillar bed it and see what happens. I checked out the video of the barrel. That was the crappiest barrel I've ever seen. It looked as if they turned the thing inside out and ran it over with a tank then flipped it right side in.
