What bullet style and weight do you all use for coyotes??? I've got a .30-06 and a 7.62x39mm SKS, I've been using hollow points in the SKS and powerpoints or partition in the .30-06. I don't think that the partition take them out fast enough, it goes right through with little pelt damage, but they run for a while, but I don't like how much damage the powerpoints do. The hollow points are the same way, they tear up a lot of pelt.
What kind of bullet do you use in high powers for yotes????

I use 243 80grain Winchester psp.I really don't care about pelt damage,but it doesn't do to much.
I am not a hunter I am a whitetail population reduction specialest
remember keep your back to the sun, your knife sharp, and your powder dry.

I have used 180gr Sierra Matchking HPBT bullets in my 300mag. A shot to the shoulder drops them on the spot with little pelt damage. My favorite load is a 55gr Hornady SXSP out of my .220 swift, shoulder shots only one hole.

i use hand loaded 80 gr pointed soft point sierra bullets in 243 caliber.i use h4895 fast burning powder but keep the loads light for slightly slower volocity, this results in less pelt damage.hollow points and power points out of any rifle will do massive pelt damage, thats what there suppose to do.the partition out of the 30-06 is designed for much larger game then a coyote.its why theres not much pelt damage.there going clean thru before complete expantion.its acting almost like a full metal jacketed bullet.you didn't mention bullet weight but try a lighter bullet in the partition(as light as they make for your guns)and see what happens.

A 55gr Hornady Vmax at around 3500fps seems to work well in my 22-250 ,or the same bullet at 3000fps in my 223 Rem . Not hot loads but very accurate , which is what I'm looking for.
