Managing for small game
I have 67 acres and would like to see more small game on the property. It is mostly woods, but has hickory, oak, wild grapes, some old apple trees and open areas with grass. Also plenty of water and cover. Not much small game.
Been thinking about planting strips of feed and maybe clearing some more land. I can only do so much as I am just one man.
Also, I think maybe predators might be part of the problem.

RE: Managing for small game
look at the amount of holding cover, ie: low lying bushs, brushpiles, thick secondary tree growth, etc. ..... walk the land when you got snow and see whats on it, both game and predators.
