Default Jackrabbit Hunting

Hello all. I am a 24 year old that has never been hunting but is eager to get his feet wet into the world of hunting with jackrabbit in the state of nevada. Any and all tips welcome but what I’m specifically looking to gain knowledge on is what in hell I can/should/could do with the pelt of a jackrabbit and what I could/should/can do with the carcass of the jackrabbit after kill. The hunt itself seems straightforward and easy, but it’s afterwards what’s got me staying inside and not going out. Can I just take a full pelt and leave it in my room? Take it to a taxidermy? Do I need to freeze it? Can I take the entire carcass to a Wild game meat processor? Stuff like that. Anything helps, thanks.
