Beautiful day. No squirrel.

Once again seeing more deer than squirrel.
I'm sure that'll change when I'm after deer.
Beautiful day though. Can't beat this time of year for scenery.

No squirrels harmed in the making of this hunt.

Neat find Boca. I wonder how old that shelter is? Who made it ? The Blair Witch ? Lol.
Early October is the bomb. I think peak colors may have past where Im @ . Cold front coming in, windy ...
I'm not sure yet, but I think I might like squirrel hunting more than deer hunting ......... But I love the Rut also...
Good luck Boca.... By the way, ,What is your first name?

I actually ran into the builder this morning.
I was sitting on a hillside off the edge of the trail I could tell was being used to access the cabin...and along the trail comes a younger, blonde haired, big huge thick glasses, guy wearing flip flops, khaki shorts and a Hawaiian shirt.
Carrying a gallon of water and a ladder.
We talked a bit. He was going in to hopefully finish the chimney.
He was very concerned that I was in the woods with a gun. And didn't realize squirrel season was in, thought it was only Archery deer. Says he never goes in the woods during a gun season
Says he builds these things as a hobby and the state keeps tearing them down lol.
I don't see him doing any harm back there. Just an odd dude.
I did let the warden know and gave him the license plate and general area.
I'll go back next week. Interested to see if he finishes the chimney or if they go in and tear it down.
