I would be more concerned about using a red light bar to get around so you don't spook stuff in the area with your white lights. Second to that, where you park your ranger doesn't really matter as long as it's hidden. We literally call coyotes out of the back of our ranger and use the top as a rest to sit our guns on.

I am assuming you are hunting at night. If you are hunting during the day time then sure you should probably park your ranger in the brush and walk at least 100 yards.
