Default So far on the 2020 Trap line

Beavers were flooding out some of our roads on our hunting lease and we have been seeing a lot of predator sign and fewer game so we decided to clean off our traps and get to it. So far we have taken nine beaver, five Coon, two Red fox, three Coyotes and two Bobcats in a two week period. Some pics of our catches:

Hi Jake, I am in the central part of Virginia. I have trapped since I was fifteen and am fifty seven so have a lot of experience. Just wish the money was there for the fur like in the late seventies when I started. I only trap for damage control and predators when their numbers get high. Its a lot of work but I love it and have a partner who is really into it as well.

I was lucky as a youth to have a neighbor that trapped that allowed me to tag along and learn. Good experience and good memories.
