Default .22 Mag For Coyotes At Very Close Range

At point blank range (50 feet or less), would I be able to kill a coyote with a .22 Mag (Remington 597)?

Yes. It will. Any time you can shoot a coyote is a good time.

Assuming your bullet placement is correct, then yes.

A well placed shot with a bullet at a reasonable range will kill "almost" anything.

Good luck on killing some coyotes !!!

I would not depend on it.
Except at

"At point blank range (50 feet or less),"

At that range a good shot gun with # 4 buck would be better even.
