You can avoid a lot of the toughness with 3 methods. Pressure cooking, is one. the crock pot slow cooking method is another way. and the 3d way is to parboil them a little before frying and such.

I'm heading out for a couple hours this afternoon. Last chance before the orange army invades tomorrow morning (muzzleloader deer).

I'm heading out tomorrow staying overnight so hopefully I'll get a few

Make sure ya'll check your own scores to make sure I've got your numbers right. I'm not a math guy. Also if someone on each team takes a quick glance occasionally to make sure the team totals are right. Let me know if there's any issues so I can go back through the thread and review the numbers. Good job so far everyone.

I have been out but the leaves are still on the trees.
You see one second, and then they are gone, under the leaves somewhere. I will be glad when the leaves turn color, and start falling off. Even with binoculars you can't find them. |
I'll probably try to make it out tommorow morning was gonna go tonight but got a text and I gotta go to work instead

I'm headed out on a two-night, one-hunt squirrel hunting expedition. Returning on Halloween with a cooler full of squirrels. |
Well the cooler wasn't full, but I did manage to get this little guy, and saw an owl which was pretty cool.

Good work SoloCamper, that should tie us back up. |
|
I'd like to count that rabbit... But as it is a squirrel contest, only squirrel.... Maybe next year we could vote on the competition allowing other small game or if it should just stay a squirrel competition. Any thoughts on that?
-Jake |
did not expect you to count the rabbitt just the squirrels

I cut my teeth on rabbit hunting, then squirrel when a teenager darn shame!! |
Every one around here blame coyotes for the decline in the rabbit population but I believe it is the hawks to blame. There are hundreds of them, on a 45 minute drive to an adjoining town we counted over 90 of them on the power lines.

Been out a few times not a single squirrel in site. But deer season starts next saturday so won't be going for squirrels unless it's later in day.
|
I think team 2 and 4 are out of the race lol
|
This not being able to hunt is killing me. UUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Even the squirrels are laughing at me. There was about four of them in the back yard, with one foot on their mouth, and the other one pointing at me snickering. |
