I started calling this bobcat at 160 yards with the hope that she would come a little closer so that I could get a better shot. Instead, she headed for the bottoms and I figured she was gone. I tried calling for several minutes more and finally heard her stalking through the bottoms when I picked her up the second time, but could not shoot. I lost her again in the foliage and again picked her up a bit later and finally took the shot.
Turns out, she was only 20 yards away, but cause of the steepness of the ravine, I had to walk over 400 yards to come around to get her. She came in at a respectable 26 lbs.
